ShreeMetalPrices: GST revenue reached Rs 1,51,718 crores in October, the second-highest level since April.

According to official data released on Tuesday, the government received gross GST revenue of Rs. 1,51,718 crore in October, that is the second-highest amount ever after April this year.

For eight consecutive months, the GST monthly collections have exceeded Rs 1.4 lakh crore.
Since the implementation of the GST, the bar of Rs 1.5 lakh crore has been passed twice.

8.3 crore e-way invoices were created in September. Which is much more than the 7.7 crore e-way bills generated in August.

CGST totaled Rs 26,039 crore, SGST Rs 33,396 crore, IGST Rs 81,778 crore (including Rs 37,297 crore received on the import of goods) & cess totaled Rs 10,505 crore (including Rs 825 crore collected on the import of goods), which is the second biggest amount of cess ever collected, according to the data.
